But we will not relax and we are serious contenders this season,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles, whose best league record is finishing second, usually start the league on a high only to lose steam in the final third of the season. Eagles last won Carlsberg Cup three years ago.<\/p>\n<p>During the pre-season, Eagles lost captain John Banda and striker Schumacher Kuwali to Ferraviaro de Nampula of Mozambique, but Chirwa said the cops were coping up well.<\/p>\n<p>Former Silver Strikers and Eagles defending midfielder, Bothwell Saka, also concurred with Chirwa, saying it was tough managing pressure at the top.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players should not be carried away because the race has just started. We have been in such situations several times and it is not easy,\u201d Saka said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Eagles have received a boost as top striker John Malidadi Jnr has started full-time training after missing the start of the season due to a knee injury.
