An initiative called Malawi-United Kingdom Business Link in collaboration with Malawi\u2019s Business Development Facility (BDF) have organised an international conference aimed at providing businesses in Malawi and the United Kingdom with a platform to network and explore business partnerships.<\/p>\n
BDF Malawi coordinator, Gabriel Kamanga, said the conference \u2013 to take place in Blantyre on May 19 and 20, 2016, will be held under the theme \u201cBusiness Beyond Malawi\u201d <\/em>and will also provide Malawi and UK businesses with necessary information pertaining to securing funding for their businesses.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will identify UK-based businesses and connect them with Malawi businesses. This is a good marketing platform for Malawi businesses,\u201d said Kamanga.<\/p>\n The theme, said Kamanga, promotes business growth, exports and international trade.<\/p>\n He said while the conference will focus a lot on international trade matters, it will also help Malawian businesses leaders to also realise their potential within the remit of the Malawi Market.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will include aspects of capacity building, as well as ideas about exporting goods in what is a challenging global market,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is good news for Malawi and can favorably contribute to the Malawi government\u2019s agenda of attracting foreign investment into the country.
