Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Disciplinary Committee is expected to meet today in Blantyre to conclude the long-running contractual dispute between Nyasa Big Bullets and want-away attacking midfielder, Jafali Chande.<\/p>\n
Fam Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda, said he handed over information, gathered through mediation, involving the concerned parties.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should expect to hear their final determination on the matter latest by Sunday. They are the ones who have a final say,\u201d Nyirenda explained.<\/p>\n
Chande signed for Bullets\u2019 bitter rivals, Be Forward Wanderers, after he claimed to be a free agent.<\/p>\n
But Bullets claimed that Chande\u2019s contract ends in August, before producing yet another purported contract suggesting that it will, in actual fact, expire in August 2017.<\/p>\n
The matter turned into a police case after Bullets Supporters Committee Chairperson, Stone Mwamadi, reported to Blantyre Police that Chande forged the contract he presented to Fam.<\/p>\n
Two employees of an internet caf\u00e9 at Chichiri Trade Fair grounds in Blantyre were arrested and their computer, where police reported to have found a soft copy of the contract in question, was confiscated as part of the evidence.<\/p>\n
Chande was also locked up after the two suspects insisted that it was him who asked them to produce the contract.<\/p>\n
Chande and Wanderers complained that the matter was taking too long to conclude and was negatively affecting the player\u2019s career as Fam had asked him not to train with any team until it was concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
