Renowned golfer, Davlin Chokazinga and impressive Bose Kamphulusa demonstrated rare golfing skills to dominate Mapeto Tyres Charity ball-pool at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The ball-pool was organised to assist Agape House-a non-governmental organisation that looks after needy children.<\/p>\n
Chokazinga, playing off handicap 16, posted 20 points to finish first after counting out Steve Kamanga, who was playing off handicap 23.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a noble cause, so I decided to put up an impressive performance to underline the significance of the tournament,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Adrino Guarino, playing off handicap 12, was third in the men\u2019s category with 19 points.<\/p>\n
In the ladies\u2019 category, Kaphulusa, playing off handicap 36, continued with her outstanding form at BSC after emerging ladies\u2019 category winner with 14 points.<\/p>\n
Sophie Kalambule, playing off handicap 26, finished second with 10 points.<\/p>\n
\u201cI started badly in the first three holes, but I recovered on time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
In the seniors\u2019 category, Charles Nseula, playing off handicap 12, scored 18 points, while Carlo Van De Wat won the juniors\u2019 version with 16 points.<\/p>\n
Lasto Pinto won the longest drive on hole number eight while Wakisa Mulwafu won the nearest to-the pin on hole five.<\/p>\n
Mapeto Tyres General Manager, Michelle Tofts, said they felt obliged to help Agape House with various items.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank the golfers that took part in the tournament,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
