Salima-based soldiers, Mafco, are third with 14 points realised from 10 matches.<\/p>\n<p>The league will be on bye this weekend as teams compete in the Airtel Money regional finals.<\/p>\n<p>According to LDNL Chairperson, Charity Malanga, the teams have stepped up the tempo in the league.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far, all the teams have assembled good squads. We are really impressed with the level of the competition in the league,\u201d Malanga said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Central Health Limited Medical Director, Dr. Victor Madhlopa, said as sponsors, they have made the league more enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have tried to bring lots of entertainment activities to encourage more people to watch the games. The idea is to make the community know the players and turn them into real celebrities. For the past weeks, we have been having music before every game, so it has been entertaining and the crowd has improved,\u201d Madhlopa explained on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The sponsorship aims at developing netball, while also promoting awareness about cervical cancer screening and vaccine for girls.<\/p>\n<p>During the games, Central Health disseminates messages of cervical cancer awareness and prevention through the league\u2019s ambassador, Takondwa Lwazi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the race for Central Health Lilongwe and Districts Netball League (LDNL) gather momentum, Civonets are in the driving seat with a two-point lead.
