Be Forward Wanderers and Flames attacking midfielder, Isaac Kaliati, is yet to be registered by the Nomads this season as he is demanding a five percent transfer fee share.<\/p>\n
The former Azam Tigers midfielder, alongside veteran striker Jimmy Zakazaka, was omitted from the Nomads squad that beat Silver Strikers 2-1 during a TNM Super League match last Sunday.<\/p>\n
Kaliati joined Wanderers from Tigers at a reported K5million transfer fee, and is entitled to an estimated K400, 000.<\/p>\n
Wanderers General Secretary, Mike Butao, on Tuesday confirmed that the player was demanding his cut as he is into his second season at the Lali Lubani Road outfit.<\/p>\n
Butao also explained that the Flames attacker was dropped from the trip to Lilongwe since he was not psychologically ready.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is supposed to get the transfer cut from his former club, Tigers, and we even referred the player and his manager to Super League of Malawi (Sulom),\u201d Butao explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have told him to resolve his issue with Tigers or Sulom and then he can start playing because we need a player who is in the right frame of mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tigers Chairperson, Sydney Chikoti, yesterday said his club should not be responsible for former players.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is not our player and we cannot be responsible for him. The agreement should be with him and his club,\u201d Chikoti said in a brief response.<\/p>\n
Sulom General Secretary, Williams Banda, urged both clubs to follow transfer rules and regulations. Usually, a buying team pays a player.<\/p>\n
Wanderers and Tigers agreed that the transfer balance will be settled through TNM Super League games gate revenue.<\/p>\n
But details show that Wanderers have not finalised the balance.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Butao claimed that Zakazaka was waiting for his clearance from Botswana Defence Force XI, where he spent five months last season.<\/p>\n
