{"id":22820,"date":"2016-04-19T12:11:22","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T10:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=22820"},"modified":"2016-04-19T12:11:22","modified_gmt":"2016-04-19T10:11:22","slug":"ictam-secretariat-opens-in-lilongwe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/04\/19\/ictam-secretariat-opens-in-lilongwe\/","title":{"rendered":"Ictam secretariat opens in Lilongwe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Information Communication Technology Association of Malawi (Ictam) has opened a secretariat in Lilongwe to facilitate its operations and service to members.<\/p>\n<p>It is located in Filimon House at the city centre.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of the offices follows Ictam\u2019s annual general assembly held in Lilongwe in February 27 this year where a new executive committee headed by Sparc Systems managing director, Wisely Phiri, was elected with a promise to set up a secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>Phiri said the location of the secretariat in Lilongwe was also strategic as they want to be close to the seat of government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, most organisations have their headquarters in the capital city as well. Lilongwe will also ensure that the association is centrally located for our members from all the regions of the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the association will soon also launch its website which is already live.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a platform through which members can be regularly updated through a planned e-newsletter and the news section of the website,\u201d said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Information Communication Technology Association of Malawi (Ictam) has opened a secretariat in Lilongwe to facilitate its operations and service to members.
