{"id":22815,"date":"2016-04-19T12:09:19","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T10:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=22815"},"modified":"2016-04-19T12:09:19","modified_gmt":"2016-04-19T10:09:19","slug":"continental-outdoor-changes-to-jcdecaux","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/04\/19\/continental-outdoor-changes-to-jcdecaux\/","title":{"rendered":"Continental Outdoor changes to JCDecaux"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Continental Outdoor Media has changed its name to JCDecaux following the acquisition of its interests by JCDecaux SA of Paris, France.<\/p>\n<p>Founded more than 50 years ago and a pioneer in outdoor advertising in Africa, Continental Outdoor was acquired on June, 18, 2015 by JCDecaux SA in partnership with Royal Bafokeng Holdings with a shareholding split of 70 and 30 percent respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The company has now completed its integration process having finalised all statutory requirements and will officially be known as JCDecaux in each of the countries it operates.<\/p>\n<p>It has more than 37, 000 advertising panels and a presence in 14 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p>JCDecaux has now added its existing footprint in Cameroon and Algeria to the list.<\/p>\n<p>JCDecaux Malawi general manager, Khwesi Msusa, said Malawi will benefit from global support and sharing of ideas and strategies from the JCDecaux business around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will benefit our growth and assist us to transform the outdoor advertising landscape in the country and take it forward,\u201d said Msusa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Continental Outdoor Media has changed its name to JCDecaux following the acquisition of its interests by JCDecaux SA of Paris, France.
