{"id":22474,"date":"2016-04-13T12:24:49","date_gmt":"2016-04-13T10:24:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=22474"},"modified":"2016-04-13T12:24:49","modified_gmt":"2016-04-13T10:24:49","slug":"lilongwe-basketball-giants-swaziland-bound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/04\/13\/lilongwe-basketball-giants-swaziland-bound\/","title":{"rendered":"Lilongwe basketball giants Swaziland bound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Central Knights have been invited to take part in Swaziland International Basketball tournament scheduled for June 24 in Mbabane.<\/p>\n<p>The team\u2019s coach player, Pempho Kadzanja, confirmed on Monday that they had started preparations for the sixth edition of the Swaziland tournament.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are training three days a week and our management is also looking at hiring a top coach to drill us before the trip,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Knights were on Sunday night crowned champions of 2016 Jack \u2018n\u2019 Jump Around championship after beating Central Zone Basketball (Cezobal reigning champions, Cougars 71-56 at Civo basketball Court.<\/p>\n<p>On their way to the final, Knight outclassed Blazers 70-49 in the quarterfinals before beating Trojans 69-51 in the semifinals, whereas Cougars beat Pirates 56-31, Bunda Buffaloes 46-38 in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the ladies category, Lady Dynamites won the competition after defeating reigning champions Angels 47-41 in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Cezobal organised the event to mark the start of the 2016 Cezobal season.<\/p>\n<p>CezobalSeneral Secretary, Peter Gomani, was confident that this year\u2019s league would be exciting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Central Knights have been invited to take part in Swaziland International Basketball tournament scheduled for June 24 in Mbabane.
