I did not take part in last weekend\u2019s game as a precaution, but I will be ready to play soon,\u201d Kumwenda insisted.<\/p>\n<p>The former Blantyre United and Bullets striker\u2019s latest injury might be a big blow to coach Young Chimodzi, who is short of experienced legs upfront following the exit of strikers Green Harawa and Peter Wadabwa.<\/p>\n<p>The Bankers will be relying on Mathews Sibale, Clement Trota and Thuso Paipi.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Silver have received a boost as exciting midfielder Blessings Tembo has resumed training after lengthy spells on the sidelines due to injury.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Super League was introduced, Silver have won it eight times, but for the first time in a decade, they finished last season empty-handed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TNM Super League former champions, Silver Strikers are expected to be without injury-prone forward Tizgobere Kumwenda during the opening games of the 2016 season after he suffered a fresh injury.
