{"id":22034,"date":"2016-04-05T10:16:55","date_gmt":"2016-04-05T08:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=22034"},"modified":"2016-04-05T10:16:55","modified_gmt":"2016-04-05T08:16:55","slug":"tourism-boss-dies-laid-to-rest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/04\/05\/tourism-boss-dies-laid-to-rest\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourism boss dies, laid to rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scores of people from all walks of life Monday converged at area 18 cemetery in Lilongwe to bury Rosebill Satha-Sambo who until her death, on Saturday, was the Executive Director for Nation Tourism Council of Malawi Trust, a private sector representative of the tourism industry in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Sambo, one of the most refined and accomplished players in the travel industry died at the age of 32 upon her return from Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>According to a family member, Tuntufye Mumba, one of Sambo\u2019s daughters found her unconscious in the wee hours of Saturday at her residence in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWords alone cannot describe what she meant to me. She was like a mother, sister and a close friend,\u201d said Mumba.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview Chief Director of Tourism Elsie Tembo described Sambo as hardworking and a team player.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer demise is a great loss to government and the entire travel industry. She was able to establish herself well ever since she joined the sector.
