{"id":2197,"date":"2015-05-11T08:32:26","date_gmt":"2015-05-11T08:32:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=2197"},"modified":"2015-05-11T08:32:26","modified_gmt":"2015-05-11T08:32:26","slug":"carlsberg-happy-with-bottle-tops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/05\/11\/carlsberg-happy-with-bottle-tops\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlsberg happy with bottle-tops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Carlsberg Malawi says it is impressed with the locally produced bottle-tops as they match with the international requirements and standards.<\/p>\n<p>The bottle-tops are being produced by a local firm Kings Tin Manufacturing at Lunzu, Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>Carlsberg used to import bottle-tops until Kings Tin came on the scene last year.<\/p>\n<p>Carlsberg Malawi Corporate Communications Officer Towela Munthali Piling said the company is satisfied with the bottle-tops from Kings Tin as there is no difference with the ones they used to import.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are impressed with what they have been supplying us,\u201d said Munthali.<\/p>\n<p>She said the company is able to provide enough quantities of the crowns and that they are currently being used on Carlsberg beer brands only.<\/p>\n<p>She said by buying locally, Carlsberg is saving a lot on transport, storage space and foreign exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also helping in job creation through Kings Tin,\u201d said Piling.<\/p>\n<p>She said Carlsberg is currently working with Kings Tin to have them approved by Coca Cola to start producing crown corks for minerals.<\/p>\n<p>Kings Tin started its operations in 2014 and employs about 40 people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carlsberg Malawi says it is impressed with the locally produced bottle-tops as they match with the international requirements and standards.
