{"id":21612,"date":"2016-03-29T12:29:02","date_gmt":"2016-03-29T10:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=21612"},"modified":"2016-03-29T12:30:58","modified_gmt":"2016-03-29T10:30:58","slug":"fmb-links-clients-to-regional-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/29\/fmb-links-clients-to-regional-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"FMB links clients to regional markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First Merchant Bank (FMB) says its presence in Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia has enabled it to connect its local and international clients to regional and international markets.<\/p>\n<p>FMB holds a 70 percent shareholding in Capital Bank Limited of Mozambique, a 38.60 percent shareholding in Capital Bank Limited of Botswana and 49 percent in First Capital Bank Limited of Zambia.<\/p>\n<p>Asked how the bank is using its regional presence to strengthen its operations and support its customers, FMB general manager, Philip Madinga, said in an interview that the bank has not only learned how its partners are doing and supporting clients<\/p>\n<p>in other countries, but has also helped FMB to connect its customers to regional and international markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur regional presence is also enabling our customers especially the corporates, multinationals and international organisations to meet their requirements easily through our sister banks,\u201d said Madinga.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are leveraging our strong in-country expertise to deepen local relationships but also support regional growth.
