{"id":21589,"date":"2016-03-29T12:05:19","date_gmt":"2016-03-29T10:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=21589"},"modified":"2016-03-29T12:05:19","modified_gmt":"2016-03-29T10:05:19","slug":"onesimus-speaks-to-sabc-on-africa-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/29\/onesimus-speaks-to-sabc-on-africa-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Onesimus speaks to Sabc on Africa tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa-based Malawian gospel singer Onesimus real name Armstrong Kalua on Saturday told Sabc news that he is ready to minister the word of God through music through his Africa tour.<\/p>\n<p>Onesimus, who has been speaking about the Africa tour for some time and initially said it would start in February said through music he does not only to entertain people but preach the word of God.<\/p>\n<p>The youthful singer, who used to play secular music before he moved to gospel described himself as a young vibrant new gospel musician.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am set with the Africa tour and we are starting with Botswana on April 2, 2016. Everything is in place and all I will do there is to sing, I wanted my music to motivate people,\u201d said Onesimus.<\/p>\n<p>He told Sabc news that he has branded 20 buses and 10 minibuses ready for the Africa tour and he posted the pictures of the buses on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am serious with my music and I am working hard to have it reach many places,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The musician also told Sabc news about his latest album <em>Epikaizo Volume 2<\/em>, which he said is a follow up to <em>Epikaizo Volume one <\/em>which was done by his father Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.<\/p>\n<p>The album includes the hit \u2018Miracle Money,\u2019 which Onesimus said its video has received more downloads.<\/p>\n<p>However, the hit received mixed reaction from Malawians with some saying the artist went overboard with his message, praising Prophet Bushiri instead of God.<\/p>\n<p>But Onesimus said the song \u2018Miracle Money\u2019 was a gift from God and that it was a demonstration of power from God to show his children that he can provide for them the same way he did when he provided manna in those days.<\/p>\n<p>The artist however, never spoke anything as regards his performance in Malawi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course I didn\u2019t say it but I will be performing in Malawi after Ghana,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Asked why he started with Botswana instead of his home, Onesimus said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople voted unfortunately Botswana had the most votes out of all the 13 countries I had listed last year so I had no choice.<\/p>\n<p>He said later that the Africa tour had delayed because he was occupied with other works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa-based Malawian gospel singer Onesimus real name Armstrong Kalua on Saturday told Sabc news that he is ready to minister the word of God through music through his Africa tour.
