Mzuzu University (Mzuni) FC Coach, Alex Ngwira, says he expects tough opposition when they face city giants Moyale Barracks Sunday at Mzuzu stadium but claims his charges have grown thick skin after four games in the top flight league.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, we managed to pull three points out of the possible 12, but, I hope it was a learning platform and we feel we will give Moyale Barracks a good run,\u201d said Ngwira.<\/p>\n
The students lost 0-3 away in their debut against fellow rookies Dedza Young Soccer, then lost to Kamuzu Barracks 0-1.<\/p>\n
But just when everyone thought Mzuni would be punching bags, they collected maximum points after beating Epac 1-0 before tumbling 0-2 to Silver Strikers.<\/p>\n
The students\u2019 tactician said the experience they drew from their away fixtures gave them a litmus test.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are only praying that the officiation be fair, otherwise it will be tough and we promise to give our Mzuzu counterparts a good run,\u201d said Ngwira.<\/p>\n
But Moyale Barracks coach, Nicholas Mhango, wondered how after just four games, the rookies were already complaining about officiation.<\/p>\n
Mhango said ever since the league was launched, referees have never favoured Moyale Barracks.<\/p>\n
He said Moyale Barracks do not count on the derby as they have been there before and to them all that matter was to collect maximum points in any game.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn football, anything can happen; Mzuni can win or they can lose, so they don\u2019t have to talk too much,\u201d said Mhango.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mhango said he has no injuries in his camp and is confident that his boys will give out the best.<\/p>\n
Moyale has four points from four games. They drew 1-1 against Dedza Young soccer beat Kamuzu Barracks 1-0, lost to Blue Eagles 0-2 before losing to Epac 1-2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
