{"id":21369,"date":"2016-03-24T16:05:58","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T14:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=21369"},"modified":"2016-03-24T16:05:58","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T14:05:58","slug":"old-mutual-jci-in-financial-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/24\/old-mutual-jci-in-financial-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Old Mutual, JCI in financial education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Old Mutual has partnered Junior Chambers International (JCI) in a financial education programme aimed at encouraging more Malawians to embrace a saving culture.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a training workshop held in partnership with JCI in Lilongwe, Old Mutual regional manager for the central and northern regions, Vincent Mkandawire, said the company is extending the programme to a wider audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re reaching out to the employed and unemployed, entrepreneurs, students, and churches. We are also enriching the programme by adding on other financial-related topics such as investments and insurance, \u201d said Mkandawire.<\/p>\n<p>He said so far Old Mutual has managed to reach over 5,000 people through Face to face engagements.<\/p>\n<p>He said the programme is vital for the development of the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe live in a country that is alive with possibilities for people to realise their dreams.
