{"id":21327,"date":"2016-03-24T13:57:30","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T11:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=21327"},"modified":"2016-03-24T13:57:31","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T11:57:31","slug":"tunisian-ref-to-officiate-flames-guinea-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/24\/tunisian-ref-to-officiate-flames-guinea-clash\/","title":{"rendered":"Tunisian ref to officiate Flames, Guinea clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Confederation of African Football (Caf) has named Tunisian, Youssef Essrayri, as the centre referee for the crucial African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier between Guinea and Flames this Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Essrayi will be assisted by his compatriots, Anouar Hmila and Aymen Ismail during the Group L match at the September 28 Stadium in Conakry.<\/p>\n<p>Football Association of Malawi (Fam) confirmed on Tuesday that Essrayri would lead the first leg\u2019s officiating panel.<\/p>\n<p>According to Footballworld. net, Essrayri has officiated five matches since last year in the Afcon and World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>To fine-tune for the crucial match, Flames drew one-all against Sierra Leone on Tuesday during a practice match in Free Town.<\/p>\n<p>The next match is a must-win for the Flames if they are to increase their chances of qualifying for next year\u2019s Afcon finals in Gabon.<\/p>\n<p>Flames host Guinea at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre four days later.<\/p>\n<p>The Flames are third in Group with one point, at par with Guinea, whereas Zimbabwe lead the group with four points followed by Swaziland with the same number of points also from two games.<\/p>\n<p>Friday\u2019s match kicks-off at 5 pm local time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Confederation of African Football (Caf) has named Tunisian, Youssef Essrayri, as the centre referee for the crucial African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier between Guinea and Flames this Friday.
