{"id":20764,"date":"2016-03-16T10:15:28","date_gmt":"2016-03-16T08:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=20764"},"modified":"2016-03-16T10:15:28","modified_gmt":"2016-03-16T08:15:28","slug":"fmb-supports-press-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/16\/fmb-supports-press-day\/","title":{"rendered":"FMB supports press day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First Merchant Bank (FMB) Tuesday presented a K530,000.00 donation to the Media Institute of Southern Africa \u2013 Malawi Chapter (Misa-Malawi) as its contributions towards Malawi\u2019s World Press Freedom Day celebrations to take place at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi on Saturday May 7, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Presenting the donation at a ceremony held at FMB\u2019s head offices in Blantyre, FMB Head of Marketing, Sylvia Mataka said the bank decided to contribute to the event because of the partnership it enjoys with the media.<\/p>\n<p>She said the media is critical to Malawi\u2019s development as it supports the business community in the dissemination of important information to the public.
