{"id":20210,"date":"2016-03-07T11:23:12","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T09:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=20210"},"modified":"2016-03-07T11:23:12","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T09:23:12","slug":"400-teams-in-airtel-money-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/03\/07\/400-teams-in-airtel-money-race\/","title":{"rendered":"400 teams in Airtel Money race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) has disclosed that 400 teams have joined Airtel Money national netball trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Nam general secretary, Carol Bapu, said they were yet to compile a list of teams from other districts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are encouraged by the response, and chances that the number of teams can increase are still high,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Bapu said most districts had started the qualifying games, which will conclude this month.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Money marketing manager, Tione Kafumbu, said they were following the netball action with interest.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Malawi launched the K360 million three-year sponsorship in October 2013.<\/p>\n<p>According to the contract, K70 million was earmarked for the Airtel Money national trophy annually while the Queens were entitled to about K25.7 million each year.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Tigresses are the two-time national defending champions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) has disclosed that 400 teams have joined Airtel Money national netball trophy.
