Malawi\u2019s number two ranked golfer, Paul Chidale, shone like a beacon when he won Sparc Systems Limited golf tournament held at Lilongwe Golf Club on Saturday.<\/p>\n
It was Sparc\u2019s first golf tournament in Lilongwe after organising such tournaments in the Southern Region.<\/p>\n
Playing off handicap three, Chidale beat 76 golfers to win the competition with 40 points, two points ahead of second-placed Adack Sailesi. Ashu Godambe came third after collecting 37 points.<\/p>\n
In his victory speech, Chidale was delighted with his performance.<\/p>\n
\u201cI did well and enjoyed playing golf. I would like to thank Sparc Systems Limited for organising the tournament in Lilongwe,\u201d Chidale said.<\/p>\n
In the ladies category, Sue Makin triumphed followed by Sandra Komakechi and Jochebed Mpanga on second and third places respectively.<\/p>\n
Medson Loka and Herbert Rwamibazi won the longest drive and nearest-to-the pin respectively, whereas Makin won the longest drive in the ladies category.<\/p>\n
Speaking during prize presentation ceremony, Sparc Systems Limited managing director, Wisely Phiri, described the competition as a success.<\/p>\n
