Moyale Barrackss FC have announced a delay in the release of the team\u2019s full squad ahead of the 2016 TNM Super League season to kick-off in April.<\/p>\n
Moyale said the delay has come about because other players are out on Malawi Defense Force (MDF) assignments.<\/p>\n
The team\u2019s manager, Lieutenant, Chimwemwe Banda told The Daily Times on Monday that the team is currently training.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe time is still available. When our players finish their MDF duties, they will be able to cope up with the new players so fast,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Banda could not disclose the number of players that have been recruited, but said some of them have been sourced locally in Mzuzu City, while others are from Likoma Island.<\/p>\n
\u201cI should apologise to Moyale supporters, it pains us all to see how we have moved from being one of the best teams in Malawi to a poorly-performing one. We are working on the team to make sure we do well this season,\u201d Banda said.<\/p>\n
The team manager also assured the supporters of the presence of striker, Gastin Simkonda, who is in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on a peace-keeping mission.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur team does not have problems with the Club Licencing System issue, especially on the coach\u2019s qualifications, because as I am talking to you, I just got Caf A and B licences for our coach Charles Kamanga in my office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
