The player has since dismissed the reports.<\/p>\n<p>Polokwane spokesperson, Tumelo Makgoala, Thursday confirmed that discussions are underway with the former Dwanga United forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are talks with him to see what will happen at the end of the season, but I don\u2019t want to say much on the issue now,\u201d Makgoala said.<\/p>\n<p>Makgoala praised the former Jomo Cosmos striker, who is regarded as one of Malawi\u2019s best football exports in recent years having played in the Uefa Champions League while at Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is well-disciplined,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Kanyenda, who was not available for a comment on Thursday, recently said he wants to remain at the club amid indications that he might be given a new role upon retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Kanyenda has netted a single goal for the 13th placed Polokwane in the Absa Premiership this season.
