Blue Eagles could lose key players, John Banda and Schumacher Kuwali, who left Wednesday for two-week trials at Mozambican club, Ferroviaro de Nampula.<\/p>\n
Banda and Kuwali flew out through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) to join the team\u2019s pre-season training in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Blue Eagles general secretary, Benjamin Msowoya, confirmed Wednesday to have given the duo a go ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the players do well during the trials, we will start negotiations with the Mozambican club. As Eagles, we will not stand in their way if they give us a good offer,\u201d Msowoya said.<\/p>\n
According to Msowoya, Nampula were also interested in Eagles holding midfielder, Philip Masiye, but have found another player in Mozambique.<\/p>\n
He insisted that Eagles will not make panic signings even if the two clinch deals with the Mozambican club. Banda had unsuccessful trials at Jomo Cosmos in South Africa recently.<\/p>\n
Another Mozambican club, managed by Manuel Tico-Tico Bucuane is also interested in signing Banda, whose deal to Costa do Sol flopped after Eagles refused to release him on loan last year.<\/p>\n
Mozambican teams\u2019 local representative, Nelito James Pondamale, confirmed the trials, but did not elaborate.<\/p>\n
