With three months remaining on his contract with Nyasa Big Bullets, the club\u2019s red-hot midfielder, Jaffalie Chande, has dismissed reports that he will cross the floor to arch rivals, Be Forward Wanderers.<\/p>\n
Chande joined Bullets in 2014 from Epac, and it is reported that he held talks with the 2015 Carlsberg Cup kings, Wanderers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true that my contract with Bullets will expire in May, and it is not automatic that I am leaving the club because my bosses invited me for a meeting on the same issue. They asked me to extend my stay here, and we will probably finish our discussions this week,\u201d Chande said.<\/p>\n
Bullets vice-general secretary, Kelvin Moyo, said he was optimistic that the player will sign a new contract to help the team defend the TNM Super League.<\/p>\n
Moyo said Bullets cannot afford to lose Chande as the team\u2019s top striker, Chiukepo Msowoya might also be lost to a foreign team. Msowoya is undergoing trials at Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a club, we need to sit down first and agree what new we can offer to him [Chande] because it is like we are also signing a new player. Mind you that it\u2019s not easy to play around with players, especially when it comes to contract extensions. We believe that despite being a player, he is also a BB supporter,\u201d Moyo said.<\/p>\n
