Civo and Flames blossoming defender John Lanjesi has said he will terminate the contract he signed with the former to allow him join Mighty Be Forward Wanderers this season.<\/p>\n
Lanjesi signed a pre-contract with Wanderers but the deal has been delayed because contractual of dispute with Civo.<\/p>\n
The player still has a running contract with Civo until 2017 despite signing a pre-contract with Nomads.<\/p>\n
In an interview on Sunday, Lanjesi confirmed that he was on the verge of completing his move to Wanderers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have stopped training with Civo because I signed a pre-contract with Wanderers and soon I will start playing for Nomads. I had a meeting with Civo officials last week and I have explained to them why I want to join Wanderers,\u201d said Lanjesi.<\/p>\n
Lanjesi pleaded with the two clubs to sort out the issue in time to allow him play this season. He has not featured for Civo this season.<\/p>\n
When contacted on Sunday, Civo general secretary, Rashid Ntelera, confirmed that he met the player last week but said the issue is complicated.<\/p>\n
\u201cI reserve my comment for the time being but the issue is more complicated than what was thought at first instance,\u201d said Ntelera.<\/p>\n
On his part, Wanderers general secretary, Mike Butao, said the player has the final say on the issue.<\/p>\n
