Musician Saul Chembezi has said that he is not finished yet in music as some quarters have put it but rather he is taking his time stitching a new album.<\/p>\n
Chembezi, who has been vibrant in the past years, has not been active in releasing albums, a trend which has forced some to say he has lost his touch.<\/p>\n
But the singer, who on Sunday performed at Casablanca in Blantyre with Super Boys Band, said people should just watch the space as he is currently working on new album to be released later this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI must admit I have taken time without releasing a new album but this does not mean I am finished. Things have changed these days and you really need more time to put up a good album and so this is why I have kept quiet. I am giving myself time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Chembezi also revealed that he once dropped some new songs last year but they did not do well on the market.<\/p>\n
The musician has been performing with Super Boys Band where they dish out songs originally done by other artists.<\/p>\n
They perform at Sportsman\u2019s Bar at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre every Friday and then Casablanca every Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite not having fresh songs, we are still pushing ourselves, we do have performances where we entertain people at Mount Soche and also Casablanca,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
During the show at Casablanca, Chembezi and Super Boys Band performed several songs including hits from Kalimba and Makasu.<\/p>\n
Super Boys Band front runner Mc Farley Ambotse said they are determined to give out more to people this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are happy with the support that we are getting from people and we promise them move vibes in 2016,\u201d said Ambotse.<\/p>\n
Apart from Ambotse, Super Boys Band is made up of lead guitarist Owen Hulera, drummer Mada Matusa, bass guitarist Philip Juma and keyboardist Renfond Mwangonde.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
