Patients and officials at Zomba Central Hospital on Wednesday had a chance to interact with TNM Super League champions Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club and the league sponsors TNM when the two parties donated assorted items to the children\u2019s ward at the hospital.<\/p>\n
Songs praising The People\u2019s Team for defending the title were all over when the team arrived in the city of Zomba while guardians showed signs of appreciation for the visit.<\/p>\n
Zomba Central Hospital, Chief Administrator, Thom Chisale hailed the Carlsberg Cup runners-up for choosing the hospital as a beneficially of this year\u2019s donation, saying the donation will go a long way in helping the parents to take care of the children who are suffering from various diseases.<\/p>\n
Chisale said the visit had brought an impact because the hospital alone could not give every patient what they needed.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me first of all express my gratitude to Bullets and TNM for the donation. We are not taking this for granted as you aware that outside there a lot of patients from various hospitals are also looking for help. The fact that TNM and Bullets gave us these items is a blessing and I am sure they will continue doing this as many hospitals are also facing the same challenges we are facing here,\u201d said Chisale.<\/p>\n
On his part, TNM\u2019s head officer for the South, Francis Mwamadi, said it is the responsibility of the company to look at various angles on how best it can help all its customers and they will continue doing this as one way of helping government in taking care of its citizens.<\/p>\n
Mwamadi also said TNM always appreciates the role of Malawians that have a keen interest in following the Super League even when hospitalised.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt TNM, we believe that it\u2019s not only those that are living healthy lives that follow our league and patronise the games, but also those who are hospitalised. So we took this opportunity to sit down and think about our colleagues in hospitals. So as TNM we are happy that we have managed to fulfill our plans,\u201d said Mwamadi.<\/p>\n
