{"id":16410,"date":"2016-01-14T10:24:41","date_gmt":"2016-01-14T08:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=16410"},"modified":"2016-01-14T10:24:41","modified_gmt":"2016-01-14T08:24:41","slug":"izeki-getting-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/01\/14\/izeki-getting-better\/","title":{"rendered":"Izeki getting better"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Comedian Izeki real name John Nyanga of the Izeki and Jakobo fame said on Wednesday he is still recovering and that he is getting better.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a telephone interview from his home in Ndirande, Blantyre, Izeki said he was thankful to the people for their prayers and support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not hundred percent fit but I am getting better compared to the time you came to see me at the hospital,\u201d said Izeki.<\/p>\n<p>The actor was last year admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod is good all the time. He has been with me throughout and he continues to look after me. I stayed for a longtime in hospital and I would like to thank the medical personnel for their care,\u201d said the comedian.<\/p>\n<p>Izeki, who has entertained Malawians for years with his colleague Jakobo real name Eric Mabedi, also said he is still in need of financial support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI greatly need support from wellwishers. I would like to thank those who have come up, people like Michael Usi and Eric Mabedi, they have been very supportive,\u201d said Izeki.<\/p>\n<p>He said he has been there for Malawians entertaining them for years with his colleague Jakobo and called upon well-wishers, Non-Governmental Organisations the government and companies to support him.<\/p>\n<p>Izeki has in the past years also starred with Kwathu Drama Group before he later quit to concentrate on preaching the word of God.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Comedian Izeki real name John Nyanga of the Izeki and Jakobo fame said on Wednesday he is still recovering and that he is getting better.
