A man who sent Ohio police a selfie because he did not like the mugshot they were using has been arrested.<\/p>\n
Police said Donald “Chip” Pugh was detained on Tuesday in Century, Florida, and is being held on another warrant out of Georgia.<\/p>\n
“Got him! Chip ‘The Selfie guy’ Pugh has been arrested,” tweeted police in Lima, Ohio.<\/p>\n
The department posted on its Facebook page a new mugshot of a smiling Pugh after his arrest in Florida.<\/p>\n
Lima police say he is also wanted for failing to appear in court and is a person of interest in several other cases.<\/p>\n
The department said he sent them a picture of himself in a sport coat and sunglasses along with a message stating: “Here is a better photo that one is terrible.”<\/p>\n
Pugh even carried out an interview with Ohio radio station The Eagle, in which he claimed Lima police “just did me wrong”.<\/p>\n
He said: “They put a picture out that made me look like I was a Thundercat … or James Brown on the run. I can’t do that.”<\/p>\n
Lima police responded to the photo, adding: “We thank (Pugh) for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the (police station) about his charges.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
