Trouble is slowly brewing at Nyasa Big Bullets after some disgruntled supporters penned the committee seeking audited financial reports for the People\u2019s Team.<\/p>\n
The irate supporters are demanding that the committee should produce financial reports, starting from the donation from the former head of state Joyce Banda.<\/p>\n
Led by former supporters committee member, Bowman Phiri, the group also wants financial reports regarding the Sapota Mapeto draws as well as proceeds from the Al Hilal and Fomboni matches.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is not about being power hungry but being realistic with the figures,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Phiri accused Bullets trustees of failing to monitor the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a serious issue but the trustees are paying a blind eye. It seems they have their own interests. They were supposed to intervene in such issues to avoid ruining the team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
However, Bullets board of trustees\u2019 general secretary Jim Kalua faulted the supporters for taking inhouse issues to the press.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey should have channeled their grievances to us and not the media. If they have any problem, they should contact us. Otherwise we have a system in place that enables us monitor operations at the team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Bullets supporters chairman Stone Mwamadi said Phiri and others were power hungry because they used to reap from the team.<\/p>\n
