{"id":16071,"date":"2016-01-09T08:22:14","date_gmt":"2016-01-09T06:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=16071"},"modified":"2016-01-09T08:22:14","modified_gmt":"2016-01-09T06:22:14","slug":"rookies-race-against-time-on-club-licensing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/01\/09\/rookies-race-against-time-on-club-licensing\/","title":{"rendered":"Rookies race against time on club licensing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Newly-promoted TNM Super League sides face a daunting task to meet club licensing minimum requirements with three months before the full implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Chilumba Barracks, Dwangwa United and Max Bullets are required to meet the requirements if they are to be granted the licences.<\/p>\n<p>Club licensing is being implemented by Football Association of Malawi (Fam) in conjunction with Super League of Malawi (Sulom).<\/p>\n<p>Dwangwa general secretary, Samson Zimba, on Wednesday said his team is not panicking ahead of next season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cActually, we have written Sulom on the same and we are just waiting for communication from them. Our players already have contracts and we are on track to comply with some of the requirements,\u201d Zimba said.<\/p>\n<p>Dwangwa returned to the top-flight league after seven years in the Premier Division. The club has no steady sponsorship.<\/p>\n<p>On his part, Bullets (Max) director, Maxwell Kapanda, said his club is also moving in the right direction to comply with the requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have already employed a well-qualified coach, so we are a team ready for Super League,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Chilumba general secretary, Kazizwa Banda, Friday said he was not aware of the club licensing minimum requirements such as owning a stadium, putting players on contracts, employing qualified accountants and stating clear legal ownership of the teams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newly-promoted TNM Super League sides face a daunting task to meet club licensing minimum requirements with three months before the full implementation.
