Currently we are doing final touches so that we don’t give out a half baked performance. It’s been a wonderful 2015 and this will be a perfect time for us to open the New Year,” said Ndirande Anglican Voices’ lead vocalist Dennis Kalimbe.

He added that this show will give them as rare platform where people will watch them perform for a longtime.

“People have been watching us performing for a short time but this one will give us that challenge of performing more songs,” said Kalimbe.

He said they are currently finalising songs for their latest album they are set to release.

“We are in the studio at the moment finalising songs so we can’t wait to finish the work. People enjoyed their performance to the fullest and this time we decided to bring in Ndirande Anglican Voices and Patience Namadingo. All we want is for these artists to enjoy what they do and be creative,” said Chrichi Gardens Events Manager Wales Chakukuma.

Apart from music performances, the Full Family Fun to start in the morning will also bring in several other activities.

“We are targeting the family, we will have activities for children you talk of jumping castle, face painting and other games. We will also have traditional games such as Bawo.

We will also have a food area where people will have time to sample traditional food, in most cases people do not have this chance so we will have Zitumbuwa, thobwa and many other traditional foods.”

Blantyre-based gospel group Ndirande Anglican Voices have said they are relishing the challenge of performing at Chrichi Gardens in Blantyre on January 1.
