{"id":15071,"date":"2015-12-25T11:38:26","date_gmt":"2015-12-25T09:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=15071"},"modified":"2015-12-25T11:38:26","modified_gmt":"2015-12-25T09:38:26","slug":"epac-fc-target-five-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/12\/25\/epac-fc-target-five-players\/","title":{"rendered":"Epac FC target five players"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>T<\/strong>NM Super League survivors, Epac FC, will invade the market in search for five new players to strengthen the squad.<\/p>\n<p>Epac survived the chop in a dramatic fashion when they beat Dedza Young Soccer 2-1 at Civo Stadium on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Dedza needed a point to remain in the league, but Epac came from behind to snatch the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Epac coach Abasi Makawa, yesterday confirmed that he is targeting five new signings next season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t want of a repeat of this season. We survived in the league by the grace of God. At all cost, we need to buy five good players,\u201d Makawa said.<\/p>\n<p>Makawa desperately needs a left winger, striker, central midfielder and a defender.<\/p>\n<p>He also ruled out the possibility of selling players this season. For the past three seasons, Epac players have been in demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to let any of my stars go. I know big teams usually persuade Epac players, but it would be good if the players remain with us to build a strong team to challenge for trophies next season,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Giants Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers have been poaching players from the Dean Josiah-Banda sponsored side.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, Bullets have poached more players from Epac than any other team. The Peoples Team bought Mussa Manyenje, Pilirani Zonda and Jaffalie Chande.<\/p>\n<p>Ranken Mwale, Joseph Kachule, Innocent Tanganyika, Mude Jeffrey and Justin Kamanga are some of Epac players, who performed well this season.<\/p>\n<p>Since being promoted into the TNM Super League in 2011, Epac have never been relegated.
