Malawi Defence Force lightweight boxer, Chrispin Moliyati, has won a ticket to vie for a World Boxing Forum (WBF) belt next February in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Moliyati defeated promising boxer Raston Kayira on a unanimous decision during the Iron Fist bill at Robins Park in Blantyre on Friday.<\/p>\n
No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions managing director, Craig Rousseau, said the deal will be completed within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether with our partners Delta Force Boxing Academy of Zimbabwe we will strike the deal soon. We are currently working on the contract,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Rousseau said Moliyati\u2019s opponent would be known early January when the contract is signed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the meantime, we have advised Moliyati to continue with his preparations because February is not that far. Any break will likely affect his performance during the international title fight,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Moliyati said he was delighted to win the contest to be eligible to vie for an international break.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank God for making this happen to me. Raston being an upcoming boxer gave me some tough time but I used my experience to overcome him. He knew when to attack and to have his guard intact. I was reading his moves and it worked,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Iron Fist bill featured 10 fights, including the super middleweight title fight which saw Limbani Masamba winning the belt after beating challenger Ernest Msoliza on unanimous decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
