Dwangwa emerged Chipiku Premier Division champions with 79 points from 36 games, seven ahead of second-placed Support Battalion, who drew 3-3 against Namitete Young Rangers on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa, who have two games in hand, earned promotion despite losing 2-0 to Kasungu Medicals on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa coach, Ladwell Mbetewa, whose team also beat Wimbe United 2-0 on Saturday, was happy after earning promotion into the top- flight league.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe players did a good job throughout the season and they deserve respect. It was not easy, but we played as a team. We know that playing in the Super<\/p>\n
League requires experience but we have good players capable of withstanding the heat,\u201d he Mbetewa said.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, Max Bullets edged out Prison United 1-0 at Sedi on Saturday to take the leaders\u2019 tally to unsurpassable 88 points from 37 matches, with three games left to wrap up the season.<\/p>\n
Second-placed, Cobbe Barracks, defeated Zomba United 1-0 to get to 74 points with four games to spare translating to a maximum of 86 points.<\/p>\n
Max Bullets director, Max Kapanda, said discipline was vital to their success this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter losing out to Fisd Wizards in the battle for promotion last season, I did some soul-searching to find out what went wrong. At the start of this season, I engaged several coaches, but I noticed that there was a lack of discipline among the players. That is why I decided to take over the coaching role.
