Mzuzu\u2013based Moyale Barracks CYF Choir on Sunday marked a milestone in their career as they launched their Adzadalitsa <\/em>DVD and CD at Mzuzu Tourist Lodge.<\/p>\n

However, despite bringing on board one of the country\u2019s renowned gospel singer\u2019s Ethel Kamwendo Banda, the launch failed to attract a huge audience.<\/p>\n

But this did not put Moyale Barracks CYF and other choirs including solo artists down as they gave it their all entertaining the sizeable audience.<\/p>\n

Kamwendo Banda was the one who closed the chapter on the day dishing out several of her songs.<\/p>\n

Some of the artists who spiced up the launch include Matabwa Fellowship, Winnie Mlotha, Uchindami Choir, Griffin Kaliyati, Brave Wathando, Kelvin Sato, Maria Nundwe and Martha Kasambala.<\/p>\n

Moyale Barracks CYF Chairperson Ernest Chikhasu said despite the low turnout they were satisfied with the outcome.<\/p>\n

Chikhasu said the aim of the DVD and CD is to minister the word of God.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also want to show people that sons and daughters of the soldiers are responsible citizens and not trouble makers as others perceive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

There was also an auction during the concert which saw patron of the choir Gina Mwase buying it at K100,000.<\/p>\n

Msongwe Ward Councillor Judith Chiume who was guest of honour also bought it at K50,000.<\/p>\n
