Malawi Flames extinguished by Uganda Cranes in Cecafa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi national football team, the Flames have been booted out of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup after going down to Uganda 2-0 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Monday.<br \/>\nFlames won two games and lost two games.<br \/>\nThis is the fourth time in a row that the Flames have failed to go past the quarterfinal stage of this competition.<br \/>\nThe match in Addis Ababa was the first quarterfinal tie of the $25,000 (K15 million) tournament.<br \/>\nWinners, Uganda, are ranked 68th in the world while the Flames are ranked 29 places below\u2014 97th.<br \/>\nCranes\u2019 Serbian coach Milutin \u2018Micho\u2019 Sredojevic has, in the two years in charge, led the revolution of Uganda who are still in contention for 2018 World Cup qualification after knocking out Togo 4-0 on aggregate to make it to the group qualifiers.<br \/>\nThe Cranes and Flames have now met 27 times with the former having an edge with now 14 wins and five draws.
