{"id":12224,"date":"2015-11-18T09:24:58","date_gmt":"2015-11-18T09:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=12224"},"modified":"2015-11-18T09:24:58","modified_gmt":"2015-11-18T09:24:58","slug":"total-malawi-promotes-youth-entrepreneurship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/11\/18\/total-malawi-promotes-youth-entrepreneurship\/","title":{"rendered":"Total Malawi promotes youth entrepreneurship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Total Malawi says its recently launched \u2018Startupper of the Year by Total Challenge\u2019 will encourage youth entrepreneurship and help in the creation of jobs for the country\u2019s youths.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge is a contest from which three youthful entrepreneurs with the best business proposals will be chosen and financed by Total Malawi to set up their planned business ventures by Total Malawi.<\/p>\n<p>Total Malawi managing director Seggie Kistasamy said the contest, which has been initiated in 33 countries, intends to empower the youth through entrepreneurship support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that our success depends on the prosperity of the society around us and we would like to look back and see young people positively making an impact in this economy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kistasamy said through the contest, Total Malawi would like to enhance industrialisation and create jobs in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to take part in supporting the most daring and innovative entrepreneurs in realising their projects\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The contest seeks prospective and existing entrepreneurs below the age of 35 to submit business proposals from which three best plans will be selected to share a K11 million prize.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Total Malawi says its recently launched \u2018Startupper of the Year by Total Challenge\u2019 will encourage youth entrepreneurship and help in the creation of jobs for the country\u2019s youths.
