The most improved netball team in the just-ended Rainbow Paints Southern Region Netball League, Thunder Queens, have attributed their impressive form to hard work.<\/p>\n
Thunder qualified for the GOtv Netball Champions League semifinals and face cup favourites, Blue Eagles Sisters, on Friday in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n
The Blantyre side is without a trophy since 2008 when they last won the defunct Toyota Malawi National netball trophy.<\/p>\n
Thunder senior player, Sherratie Kaiche, said it was not by a fluke that they have regained form.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been working hard at training and now, we are slowly getting the rewards. It hasn\u2019t been easy to regain our form. We will continue working hard to achieve what we are looking for. Team-work is also great. Most players are committed and there is oneness in the club,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Kaiche said Thunder can win the GOtv championship if they minimise mistakes.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the last round, we committed some unforced errors and it contributed to our downfall. So, if we can improve our shooting accuracy and avoid some mistakes we can stun some teams,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Kaiche also said they will not be intimidated by their opponents\u2019 reputation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will go there and play our game. We are not worried by the form of our opponents,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
