{"id":12197,"date":"2015-11-18T08:10:06","date_gmt":"2015-11-18T08:10:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=12197"},"modified":"2015-11-18T08:10:06","modified_gmt":"2015-11-18T08:10:06","slug":"airtel-brings-more-goodies-in-ka-jive-dance-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/11\/18\/airtel-brings-more-goodies-in-ka-jive-dance-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Airtel brings more goodies in Ka Jive Dance Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Airtel Malawi continues to associate with the Ka Jive Dance Competition spearheaded by Times Group through Times Television with the latest being that they will be giving out different prizes during the shows.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Malawi\u2019s Senior Properties Officer Emmanuel Kaunda said they want more people to be par t of the competition hence coming out with more goodies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWe will do a raffle draw for all those that will pay through Airtel Money. People can also vote for their favourite dance group to keep them in the contest by texting the name of the group to 57777 and they also stand a chance to win an Airtel branded phone,\u201d said Kaunda.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes barely two weeks after Airtel Malawi recently announced that it has partnered Times Television in season two of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The mobile company revealed during the evictions in Lilongwe that it has pumped in K4 million as part of its sponsorship to the dance competition.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Malawi\u2019s Brands and Communications Manager, Isabel Kachinjika said recently that the sponsorship is one way of promoting talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Airtel, we believe in empowering people to be able to live their dreams. That\u2019s why we have also been involved in this competition.<\/p>\n<p>Ka Jive Dance contest allows people to be indentified and awarded for their skills. Last season we came in towards the end of the competition. This season we want to be there from the start,\u201d said Kachinjika.<\/p>\n<p>Timescom Business Manager Heggar Kalowekamo said yesterday that Airtel\u2019s addition of give aways is simply bringing to the Ka Jive competition three dimensions of interactivity, convenience and excitement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust by posting pictures on Instagram with the hashtag#airtelkajive or through commenting on Kajive post on Facebook enhances interactivity with the audience,\u201d said Kalowekamo.<\/p>\n<p>He also said the introduction of Airtel Money payment mode also brings convenience to the public in terms of buying tickets for the shows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incentives which include Airtel branded smart phones and T\/shirts among others will motivate people to participate in voting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile after evicting six contestants in Lilongwe two weeks ago, the Ka Jive Dance competition continues this Saturday at Al Pacino\u2019s Club 360 in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>The competition will see 22 contestants battling it out where some contestants are expected to be evicted.<\/p>\n<p>Kalowekamo said all is set for the eviction show in Blantyre with musician Piksy set to perform as a guest artist.<\/p>\n<p>In season one, the competition was only held in Blantyre but this time it has extended to Lilongwe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Airtel Malawi continues to associate with the Ka Jive Dance Competition spearheaded by Times Group through Times Television with the latest being that they will be giving out different prizes during the shows.
