Forgotten Malawi national football team, the Flames striker, Esau Kanyenda, who has struggled this season at Polokwane City in South Africa, has been linked with a move to an unnamed Tete-based club in Mozambique.<\/p>\n
The former Russia\u2019s Rostov attacker confirmed that Mozambican football legend, Manuel \u2018Tico-Tico\u2019 Bucuane, called him to establish if he could be interested to play in Mozambique.<\/p>\n
HCB de Songo and Chingale de Tete are some Mocambola League clubs based in Tete Province.<\/p>\n
\u201cTico-Tico called me. I think he is connected to the owner of the club. They are offering me better perks than what I get here in South Africa, but I haven\u2019t decided yet,\u201d Kanyenda said.<\/p>\n
Kanyenda has struggled to hit top form in South Africa, and he is yet to open his scoring account for Polokwane after playing two games.<\/p>\n
The former Dwangwa United striker is hoping for more game-time under new coach Julio Leal after being reduced to a bench-warmer under former mentor Kosta Papic.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy contract with Polokwane ends in June next year. At the moment, everything is ok. We have a new coach and I am working hard to impress him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Polokwane appointed Leal last week to replace Papic, who resigned following the team\u2019s dismal start to the season.<\/p>\n
