They girls played so well and we have seen where we need to improve. I am sure we will have a good team,\u201d Mkolongo told Times Radio.<\/p>\n<p>Malawi will face Egypt in the next warm-up match later this match while preparing for next April\u2019s Cosafa Women Championship in Seychelles.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Asha Rashid\u2019s screamer in the 43rd minute and Mwanahamisi Omary\u2019s 83<sup>rd<\/sup> minute strike gave the local ladies a befitting victory against the visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The victory was a perfect reward for the old guard Esther Chabruma alias \u2018Lunyamila\u2019, who announced her retirement from the team.<\/p>\n<p>Twiga Stars Head Coach Rogasian Kaijage used the match to gauge the ability of his players, most of them have less experience in international games.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the victory, Twiga Stars struggled with match fitness and have to improve before their clash against Zimbabwe in the Africa Women Championship (AWC) qualifiers scheduled for March, next year. <strong>\u2014Daily News\/Tanzania<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi women national football team bounced back on to the international stage with a 2-0 loss to hosts Tanzania\u2019s Twiga Stars at Azam\u2019s Chamazi Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
