In a bid to depart from the styles of other gospel artists,a young man has emerged with unique gospel reggae vibes in the caliber of the late legend, Morgan Mtaya.<\/p>\n
George Sungani, 31, from Chalenga Village in Traditional Authority Chimwala, Mangochi, in said his passion for hard-core gospel reggae goes deeper than the skin in that musical greats like the late Mtaya inspired him to reach out to the masses with the gospel in pure reggae.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am no stranger in the music business because I have performed with big artists and bands in the country such as Mwizalero, Tiyamike, Ralph Records, Maloto Vibrations amongst others and in fact I come from a musical background in my family,\u201d Sungani said.<\/p>\n
He said most of his brothers are singers and so is his sister, Chicco Sungani, who also encouraged him on his musical journey.<\/p>\n
Cementing his passion for gospel music, Sungani has just recorded a 10-track album at JK Records in Blantyre.<\/p>\n
The album has been produced by Yuze Uganda and is titled King of Kings. <\/em><\/p>\n Some of the songs in the album include \u2018Mfumu Yafika, \u2018Dzisankhileni Nokha,\u2019 \u2018Simba kwa Yesu,\u2019 \u2018Chifundo Chake,\u2019 and \u2018Ndiwe Wotani.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cThe main theme in the album is about the kingdom of God which everybody should strive to enter as it is the ultimate reason we are here on earth,\u201d Sungani said.<\/p>\n He said the album will be ready next month.<\/p>\n \u201cI appeal to musicians to have passion for music and do something besides singing as currently I work with Emmanuel International and I am also pursuing Community Development at a college in Zomba and I financed the music project myself,\u201d Sungani said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In a bid to depart from the styles of other gospel artists,a young man has emerged with unique gospel reggae vibes in the caliber of the late legend, Morgan Mtaya.
