Former Big Bullets ambitious chairperson, Kondi Msungama, says he is now among shareholders of Swaziland Premier League side, Malanti Chiefs.<\/p>\n
Msungama said he has finalised paperwork with the owner of the Malanti, Henry Gumedze.<\/p>\n
The former Bullets chairperson claims to own 40 percent shareholding in Malanti.<\/p>\n
Msungama said he has been discussing with Gumedze for a long time to be a partner at the club, which lies on eighth position in the Swaziland top-flight league.<\/p>\n
He said the decision to buy shares in the foreign land came as a one way of giving a chance to Malawian players to play in foreign country.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, it is true and we have already started helping Malawian players and coaches. We are now partners with Mr Henry Gumedze,\u201d Msungama explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cGumedze has great passion for the game just like me. I believe we have a lot in common. I am hopeful that together we will grow big. On my part, I intend to help Malawian players by giving them exposure. As you know, Swaziland is next to South Africa, hence making it simple for our players to move to South Africa teams.\u201d<\/p>\n
Msungama added that Gumedze also holds 40 percent. The remainder is owned by businesswoman, Suzen Nkwana \u201cI am at pains to disclose as to how much I invested in the team. At first, I wanted to establish a team here, but then I realised that I was not ready. I will surely do that in future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Gumedze confirmed in a brief telephone interview yesterday that \u201cit is indeed true, Kondi is my business partner in the team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, former Be Forward Wanderers and Silver Strikers coach Franco Ndawa is Malanti\u2019s new head coach.<\/p>\n
The team has also acquired striker Gomegzani Gondwe, who once played for Wanderers and Azam Tigers.<\/p>\n
While at the helm of Bullets, Msungama facilitated striker Diverson Mlozi\u2019s transfer to Malanti on loan. Mlozi has since rejoined Bullets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
