{"id":10812,"date":"2015-10-23T09:36:46","date_gmt":"2015-10-23T09:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=10812"},"modified":"2015-10-23T09:36:46","modified_gmt":"2015-10-23T09:36:46","slug":"e-wallet-talent-show-starts-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/10\/23\/e-wallet-talent-show-starts-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"E-Wallet Talent show starts Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The long awaited E-Wallet Talent show season six formerly Sunbird Search for a Star gets into gear Saturday night at M-Theatre formerly Cine Cinema at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>The talent show, will see 14 contestants performing live backed by Malimba Band.<\/p>\n<p>E-Wallet Talent Show Coordinator Anthony Kafuwa said on Wednesday that all was set for the show and that apart from the live performances from the contestants, singer and guitarist Patience Namadingo, who has soared high with his latest single \u2018Msati Mseke,\u2019 will perform as a guest artist.<\/p>\n<p>Namadingo has also been involved in the E-Wallet Talent show mentoring the contestants in voice and stage management and he is doing the same this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are in for a good treat; all the contestants including those from Mzuzu and Lilongwe are in Blantyre and have been camping at Monarch Square. We have another partner Premier Bus Service responsible in transporting the contestants and the judges,\u201d said Kafuwa.<\/p>\n<p>The E-Wallet Talent show will be taking place at the M-Theatre for the first time as in the past years; the show has been taking place at Sunbird Mount Soche.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cM-Theatre will only accommodate 250 people and our target is family entertainment. We have set up a canteen for people to have food before getting in to watch the performance,\u201d said Kafuwa.<\/p>\n<p>The competition as usual will be shifting from Blantyre to Lilongwe and he said the launch tomorrow will have no evictions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the launch so all the 14 contestants will perform and then the show will go on TV. This is more like an introduction to the people before we go to evictions. People should expect the usual twists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also opened up on the songs the contestants will be performing, people are free to give us a selection and tomorrow\u2019s songs have been selected by Capital FM team led by Earlene Chimoyo,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The road to the E-Wallet season six started with the auditions in Mzuzu where two were picked Mwayi Matiti and Kennedy Burton followed by Lilongwe where they picked three namely Sigele Akimu, Ruth Kulaisi and Shadreck Amos.<\/p>\n<p>In Blantyre nine were selected and they are Enerst Masi, Rita Kalonga, Eunice Mhango, Shanice Tandwe, Jeremiah Chikhwaza, Annie Kapanda, Khumbo Manda, Kelvin Zalimba and Jeremiah Chigwenembe.<\/p>\n<p>Kafuwa said they will also be uploading material online which includes their website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year we have introduced the wooden mics and we would want people to vote because we will have a prize.
