Gospel musician Khama Khwiliro has been spicing up several gospel concerts recently but now he gets down to the stage to launch his second album titled Ndawona Kuwala <\/em>at Robin\u2019s Park in Blantyre on Sunday.<\/p>\n

This is the musician\u2019s second project since he went solo having starred with Christ Melodies for some time.<\/p>\n

Khwiliro said on Wednesday that he is ready for the launch severalwhich he has been planning for months.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been long but now the time is here, I am ready, I have had massive rehearsals and all I can promise people is nothing but the best live performance, come Sunday,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

With several gospel musicians launching albums recently, many people feel that launch concerts are always the same with nothing new to offer.<\/p>\n

But Khwiliro said his launch is unique and that people should just patronise the concert.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have taken my time in preparing this launch and there is so much that I have invested so I cannot afford to disappoint people rather putting up the best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Khwiliro has used experienced artists in his second album.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have grown musically and when I sit back and look at productions with Christ Melodies I see growth. My stint with Christ Melodies helped me learn a lot and made it easier for me to advance in my solo career and I actually learnt a lot in terms of production,\u201d said Khwiliro, who comes from a family of musicians.<\/p>\n

He has taken close to over two years since he released his debut album titled Nthawi Yanga. <\/em><\/p>\n

The gospel singer has recorded the 13-track album in several studios.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have worked with several producers and the idea was to bring out the best but also something different. I looked at all my songs and I had to involve different producers as regards the genres they are good at,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Khwiliro said his first album did well on the market and that it is still selling.<\/p>\n

Some of the songs in Ndawona Kuwala are \u2018Alinawo Maso,\u2019 which is currently enjoying airplay in some of the local radio stations, \u2018Wandiwolosa,\u2019 \u2018Igwe,\u2019 \u2018Ndife Agonjesi,\u2019 and \u2018Mzimu Wanga,\u2019 a worship song which he featured Limbani Simenti.<\/p>\n

Khwiliro has already produced four music videos for some of the songs in the new album and they include \u2018Alinawo Maso,\u2019 \u2018Igwe,\u2019 \u2018Ndaona Kuwala,\u2019 and \u2018Mmene Tinkayamba Chikhristu.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI am only launching an audio for now but after the launch I will finalise the music videos and hope to launch the DVD next year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Some of the producers he has worked with include Amos Mlolowa of Active A Studio, who also produced albums for Lucius Banda and Black Missionaries, Dick Kankhunda, Alex and Obed Chitheka and Gaffa.<\/p>\n

He has also worked with session artists Faith Mussa, Mvahiwa Hanke and Chambota Chirwa.<\/p>\n

Some of the artists spicing up Khwiliro\u2019s launch are Simenti, Favoured Martha, Steve Wazisomo Muliya, Marvellous Deeds, Ndirande Anglican Voices, King James Phiri and Princess Chitsulo. He will however, miss the services of Mussa, who left for the US with Peter Mawanga on Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
