Big Bullets’ principle striker Chiukepo Msowoya’s prospects of signing for Bidvest Wits of South Africa appear slim—he is now linked to clubs in Lebanon and Tanzania.

Msowoya confirmed that he was leaving yesterday for a club in Lebanon and that Azam Football Club of Tanzania were also on his rader.

“But I am not comfortable to comment further,” Msowoya said.

Bullets technical director Billy Tewesa, who at times represents the player, told MBC Radio yesterday that there were some things’ that needed to be clarified before the deal with Wits could go through.

Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo confirmed the interest of clubs in Tanzania (Azam) and Lebanon.

The ex-Orlando Pirates man, who had briefly trained with the Bullets after returning from South Africa, was reportedly expected to spend two days of trials with the undisclosed Lebanese side.

The former Escom United forward has recaptured his form after scoring eight in 14 TNM Super League first-round games. He also scored in 1-0 over Uganda after being recalled by coach Ernest Mtawali last month.
