 Pasuwa happy to have delivered

Nyasa Big Bullets Coach, Kallisto Pasuwa, has said he is happy to have guided the team to the 2018 TNM Super League championship.

Bullets clinched the title after beating Red Lions 3-0 at Balaka Stadium on Saturday.

Pasuwa, who signed a two-and-half months’ contract with Bullets, said he awaits management’s decision on his future.

“I came here and took a risk of coaching a team I never knew but one that expected to get something in two months. It was just unfortunate that, during the time,we were knocked out of two competitions but I am happy that the league is now in our hands,” Pasuwa said.

Bullets needed just a point to win the title but Chiukepo Msowoya’s spot kick and Nelson Kangunje’s brace ensured that the People’s Team collected maximum points and condemned Lions to the Premier Division.

Lions caretaker Coach, Nelson Chirwa, conceded defeat but was optimistic that his team would bounce back shortly.

“We did everything possible to remain in the league but luck was not on our side.We will go to the Premier Division and re-organise ourselves so as to bounce back,” Chirwa said.

Bullets, who have two more games to wind up the season, have 67 points from 28 games while Lions finished on 14th position with 33 points from 30 games.

In other games on Saturday,Wanderers beat Moyale 7-2 at Kamuzu Stadium, Dwangwa United lost 1-0 to Masters Security while Karonga United registered a 2-1 victory over Blue Eagles 2-1 at  Karonga Stadium
