Masters Security FC and Be Forward Wanderers have intensified preparations for the Carlsberg Cup final set for Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.

Masters Coach, Abasi Makawa, said even though they booted out defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets they would work extra hard so as to win their first top-flight cup.

“We had our first training session here in Blantyre on Tuesday. We have started on a high and the boys are determined to make history,” Makawa said.

Wanderers Technical Director, Yasin Osman, said their preparations are on track.

“Of course, we defeated them but this is a cup final and we need to be careful. We came from behind to force a 1-1 draw against them at Dedza Stadium in a league match and it shows that they have improved quite a lot.

“They have good players who were at Wanderers and Bullets. They also have foreign players; so, we need to work hard if we are to lift the cup,” Osman said.

Last year, the Nomads failed to defend the cup after losing to Bullets on post-match penalties at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
