Silver Strikers eyeing Collen Nkhulambe

Silver Strikers have joined the list of teams that are seeking the services of Nyasa Big Bullets forward Collen Nkhulambe.

Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Fleetwood Haiya, on Monday said apart from Masters Security FC, who expressed interest in signing Nkhulambe on loan, Silver Strikers and Civo Sporting Club have also joined the race.

“Discussions on Anzeru Joseph and Maneno Nyoni going to Masters are at an advanced stage. We just need to push for an agreement among other three teams on Nkhulambe’s deal before the season kicks off,” Haiya said, adding that Cuthbert Sinetra is heading to Nchalo United for a loan spell.

Silver General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, confirmed their interest in Nkhulambe but Civil Team Manager, Gabriel Chirwa, feigned ignorance on the matter, saying their technical panel never recommended him to the Executive Committee.

Nkhulambe’s manager, Mphatso Nyemera, said Silver officials met the player in Mzuzu and he is yet to decide based on discussions between Bullets and the Bankers.

“The difference between Masters and Silver is that the former only expressed interest in him, while Silver have made an offer and want the player to start training. But as usual, the player is contracted to Bullets, who have a final say on the loan agreement. All the player needs is to be on the field of play,” Nyemera said.
